Frist of all in my answer to this statement is not everyone wants to be in the upper
levels. Admittingly it is a nice dream but most of us just want to do something with
our horses that isn't just on the rail work. No I'm not knocking any of the pleasure
classes.

I think that a class or a riding disapline is needed to fill this gap. I feel that the way
the Dressage test ladder is set up could be applied to a western like class.

I feel as if in this disapline you should be alowed to ride in either western or english
tack. My only thing is if you start riding you class one handed you finish it one
handed. I mean if you think about it Dressage started out as training for War Horses
which a fighter had to fight either one handed or no handed in battle.

I feel as if a horse and rider can go forward either western or english.
